It’s official people! Kanye West takes home the number one spot. Kanye West’s “Graduation” widely outsold 50 Cent’s “Curtis” in first week sales, according to Nielsen SoundScan: 957,000 copies to 691,000 copies. Now the questions remains to be asked, WILL 50 CENT RETIRE? I think he should stick to his word…
So what can 50 Cent really say at this point except this bubble down comment: “I am very excited to have participated in one of the biggest album release weeks in the last two years. Collectively, we have sold hundreds of thousands of units in our debut week. This marks a great moment for hip-hop music, one that will go down in history.” Come on Fiddy, you lost because you got too cocky (yes, cockier than Kanye) but now you know that Kanye sold almost 300K units more than you because YOU (Mr. G Unit) helped fuel a war that you thought you were going to win. Sorry for ya. I can’t wait to hear you on the mix tape circuit.

Kanye West got the early start to outsell 50 Cent on the first day

Good morning Mr. West, Mr. West, Mr. Fresh. Soundscan is reporting that Kanye West sold around 437,000 copies of Graduation on Tuesday, September 11 while 50 Cent’s Curtis sold around 310,000. We’ll see if 50 Cent is going to retire on Tuesday when the first week numbers come out.

Mr. West keeps getting Ds at the VMAs

Kanye, Kanye, Kanye. Apparently, Mr. West was irate he did not win yet another MTV VMA award. He was seen backstage at this year’s VMA yelling and telling people that MTV doesn’t like black people. Mr. West attention is needed:
MTV doesn’t pick winners, the FANS do.
Just like your lyrics on the first track of your new album goes, “you keep getting D’s stupid motherfucker,” how do you expect to graduate? Get the facts straight, MTV loves black people, but the fans just don’t like you.
